‘My Hong Kong’ is a collection of digital artworks formed using Procreate. The one-line drawing style I have explored throughout these pieces allows me to turn simple shapes into more complex forms. When combined with my clean, vibrant colour combinations the images portrait a bright, playful view of Hong Kong’s beautiful locations.

I am a Primary School teacher for the English Schools Foundation and have lived in this wonderful country with my family for 12 years. Many of the wiggly, wobbly lines that feature within my artworks were created during my commute to work. The gentle rise and fall of the early morning Discovery Bay ferry and the erratic acceleration by the bus and taxi drivers are warmly accepted and incorporated into the line work. I draw solely on my iPad Pro which has enabled me to create my pieces while I’m on the go in the city. My aim is to combine the real hustle and bustle of daily life with my calm, sun-filled memories so everyone can see my Hong Kong.
