"Art is life, life is the art of everydayness"
My creations are deeply influenced by my childhood traumas. When I was four, I drowned in the ocean, but was miraculously rescued by my father. I survived the episode, intact. The experience of death and rebirth led to a unique fascination and perspective on the inner workings of the human soul and body. I wondered, is it possible for someone who have not gone through death to also experience rebirth? Many of us have no doubt gone through darkness and pain, akintothe death of one’s soul. I believe our spirituality and emotional faculties deserve as much as the physical body its moment of rebirth and hope. This and many more moments which spring randomly into life, continue to inspire me to develop unlimited creativity towards all forms of artistic expression. I enjoy taking the expressionist style of painting in particular, to communicate with the world through eclectic and sensual colours, which best reflect the beauty of rebirth. I hope every dab of colour I put on the canvas would catalyse sensations among theaudience and call upon their souls to explore with me the energeticnatureand beauty of life.
