Round mirror recessed into solid Sapele hardwood frame. Slim hardwood profile on the front with shadow gap to emphasise the change of depth with the mirror surface.
Steel hanger on reverse for wall hanging. The hardwood is finished with two coats of premium Osmo Polyx Oil - a hardwearing, water repellant and dirt resistant finish.
[Sapele is referred to as African Mahagony and is part of the same Meliaceae family as Mahogony. A dense hardwood, one of its more exotic uses is in the making of acoustic and electric guitars.]

Story of the product:
This is one of two sapele mirrors i've produced from material I had left over from a project I did for the Globe pub in Central. Planning to sell the first mirror, I brought it home to photograph and was promptly told it was no longer for sale as my wife rather liked it. Thankfully I had enough wood to make one more.
